今天我们组织了一次短途旅行,去Walker farms kayak rental划船。这家公司价格相对较便宜(每两小时30美元),更何况今天是阴天且人少,他们便允许我们随意划船。

这个地方有180英亩的水域可供划船。我们首先向东前往的是百亩海湾(Hundred Acres Cove)。尽管那里的房屋非常美丽,但那里没有小溪可供探索。我本来打算首先探索东部,然后向谷歌地图上标示有小溪的西部前进,但我发现这样长的距离对我的朋友们来说稍微有些过远。然而我并不怪他们,毕竟这是他们第二次划船!

因此,我们最终绕过了岛屿,但没有探索小溪。岛屿旁的沙滩蜿蜒曲折。我本来想划到水浅的地方,跳出船拖行一会儿,但我的鞋子几乎被淤泥吞噬了。

岛屿位于Osamequin Nature Trails and Bird Sanctuary旁,因而我们能看到各种鸟类。

   

有只鹗在高高的鸟巢里喂食小鸟。 不知为何,有十只鸟正在盯着同一个方向看。

在结束旅行之前,我们看到三个人在一起钓鱼。我的朋友告诉我,其中一位竟然在用鸡腿作为鱼饵!

     

老板已经在这里生活了45年,最近5年他开始提供船只租赁服务。当我们回到帐篷后,他从房屋的窗户大声叫过来,让我们把船留在那里。

 

旅行结束后,我们看到了一道鲜艳的双层彩虹!
